Natural History Museum has wild thoughts
September 2006
Hildebrand successfully win three way pitch to be the main supplier of web services for the annual Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition at the Natural History Museum London.
Hildebrand was approached by The Natural History Museum to redesign the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition website. The objective was to build a framework that could be reused for the upcoming years that allowed for new branding to be inserted thus reflecting new marketing campaigns.
The site works on two levels, firstly it supports the competition itself opening prior to the exhibition and secondly during the exhibition it is not only providing supporting information before and after the competition it is actually an extension of the exhibition itself. On site installations allow visitors to interact directly with website, voting for photos and posting comments.
“It was a great opportunity to extend a real life exhibition into a web based experience.” Matt Luxon Client Services Director
