Opening the lines of communication

October 2006

When Openreach, a BT Group business needed to communicate to 30,000 employees at short notice they turned to Hildebrand.

If your employees are out on the road without access to email and printed communication, it's a challenge when you need to get a message across.

Hildebrand created a SMS solution with a push to talk facility. Employees could read the text when it suited them and dial into the service to listen to the full message. In addition to operating the service, Hildebrand provided detailed reporting and analysis to inform the message strategy for future campaigns.

The creation of Openreach by the BT Group is the result of ground-breaking Undertakings with Ofcom. Their remit is to ensure that the entire UK telecommunications industry, including other parts of BT, has fair and equal access to the local access and backhaul networks.
